Job summary

Benugo is seeking a passionate Café Supervisor to join The British Museum team. The role involves overseeing day-to-day cafe operations, ensuring top-quality products and service, and supporting management to grow sales.

You will manage food safety standards, motivate staff, and handle cash and scheduling in a fast-paced, 7-day operation. The position offers full-time hours with shifts typically 9:00am–7:00pm, with occasional later finishes on Fridays, and a salary of £14.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in similar café roles.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Excellent product knowledge (food/beverage).
• Leads by example by always acting professional.
• Takes the initiative and is a team player.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations to maintain highest standards of product and service.
• Support management in improving sales and service.
• Ensure high levels of Food Safety and Health & Safety.
• Act as manager in management absence and motivate the team.
• Carry out cash-up duties after training.
