Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a motivated Cafe Supervisor for the Sixth Form Cafe at Woldingham School. The role focuses on delivering high-quality meals and service to pupils, staff, and visitors, while ensuring allergen controls and safety standards are met.

You will join a specialist school catering team, delivering tailored meals and maintaining a supportive environment with a strong safety culture. This fixed-term contract begins January 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cafe or coffee shop setting is preferred.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge is required.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude and customer focus.
• Friendly, fun and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• A team player who works well with others.
• Flexible approach to work and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cafe opens on time and is ready for service.
• Devise weekly specials with the Executive Chef and General Manager.
• Assist with preparation, service and presentation of food to a high standard.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
• Assist with food labelling, temperature checks, and allergen controls.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Set up and clear service areas to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all food safety, health and safeguarding procedures.
• Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions.
• Champion allergen controls in daily practice.
