Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a friendly Cafe Supervisor to oversee daily food service in the Sixth Form Cafe. You’ll ensure high-quality meals, smooth service, and a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Bring experience from cafe or coffee shop settings, strong health and safety knowledge, and a customer-focused, flexible approach. You’ll lead a team, manage allergen controls, and contribute to events and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cafe or coffee shop setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Flexible, customer-focused with excellent organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cafe opens on time and runs smoothly.
• Create weekly specials with Executive Chef and General Manager.
• Support preparation, service and presentation to a high standard.
• Maintain hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
• Assist with food labelling, temperature checks and allergen controls.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Set up and clear service areas for daily operations.
• Follow food safety, health & safety and safeguarding procedures.
• Support hospitality events and out-of-hours functions.
• Champion allergen controls and uphold respectful codes of conduct.

Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cafe Supervisor to support the day-to-day food and service delivery in the Sixth Form Cafe. This role is essential in ensuring pupils, staff, and visitors receive high-quality, nutritious meals served with care, efficiency, and attention to detail.,

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the cafe is ready open on time
• Devise weekly specials with the support of our Executive Chef and General Manager
• Support the preparation, service, and presentation of food to a high standard
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas
• Assist with food labelling, temperature checks, and allergen controls
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors
• Set up and clear service areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
• Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions
• Accountability for following and championing allergen controls, Our respectful codes of conduct inform how we behave towards our clients and customers, suppliers and business partners, and each other.
