Job summary

CH&CO, a part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

You will lead a team, manage deliveries and stock, and sustain high standards of food handling, hygiene, and safety while delivering excellent customer service in a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in a hospitality/food service setting.
• Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Check deliveries and store stock promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as required.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager guidelines.
• Place orders to maintain stock levels.
• Delegate tasks and keep the team proactive.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in CH&CO on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

Here’s an idea of what your shift patterns will be: Mon-Fri (Full Time Days)

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Cafe Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
