Job summary

Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery in Carlisle is seeking an experienced chef to join Café Tullie. You’ll lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen, cooking fresh, high-quality meals for visitors and helping develop the food offer.

Working 30 hours per week across 5 days in seven, with weekend and some evening work, you’ll collaborate with the Head Chef and uphold high standards of food hygiene and allergen awareness while deputising in their absence.

Qualifications

• Experience as chef in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to lead a kitchen and deputise for Head Chef.
• Commitment to high standards of food hygiene and allergen awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen at Café Tullie.
• Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality food for visitors.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, portion control and waste management; deputise for Head Chef when needed.
