Job summary

Morrisons Café team member role in the store focuses on delivering friendly, attentive service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for customers. You’ll lead shifts, support staff development, and ensure high stock availability and smooth daily operations.

The role emphasizes frontline leadership in hospitality, collaboration with other departments, and maintaining food safety standards while driving sales targets and store objectives.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a proactive approach to running a welcoming, vibrant Café. You'll lead your team to deliver outstanding service, keep stock availability high, and make sure every customer leaves happy.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Empower your team to deliver friendly, attentive service, listening to customer feedback to make sure our Café is always a warm, welcoming place to pop by.
• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to succeed and grow.
• Drive performance and standards: Lead an encouraging, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.
