Job summary

Tesco Café is looking for a Back of House team member to prepare, cook and serve food while keeping the kitchen clean and compliant with food safety standards. You’ll help ensure every dish meets our menu’s promise and maintain high hygiene and FIFO stock practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.
• Comfortable working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafés
• Knowing our café's menu inside and out and serving food exactly as it's intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Café Manager.
