Job summary

House Coffee Co in Shrewsbury is seeking a full-time chef with a passion for simple, fresh and well-presented meals. You will set up and close the kitchen, prepare and plate dishes to high standards, and maintain records for health and safety. Level 2 Food Hygiene is required and you will work well in a team in a busy kitchen.

The role runs 8:00–16:30, Tuesday to Saturday, with no evening shifts. Starting pay is £13.25 per hour, reflecting a family-run team focused on quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills are essential and you should work well both individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders.
• Professional, presentable with good time management and reliability.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene is required.

Responsibilities

• Setting up & closing down the kitchen.
• Preparing, cooking & presenting dishes to a high standard.
• Maintaining records relating to food production activities and supplier information for health and safety.
