Job summary

Bannatyne in Durham is seeking a Cafe Bar Assistant to join our cafe bar team. You will greet guests, serve beverages and light snacks, and help maintain a clean, welcoming space for members and guests.

This role requires a friendly, customer-focused attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask in a lively environment. A flexible schedule including weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• It would be desirable to have a Level 2 food safety and hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve members and guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and light snacks efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Provide information about the club's services and facilities as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Hours : 24 hours per week

Rate of Pay : £12.71 per hour
