Bannatyne is seeking a Cafe Bar Assistant to join our cafe bar team in Durham. You will greet guests, prepare beverages and light snacks, and help maintain a clean, welcoming space, while assisting with stock and payments.

This role rewards enthusiasm, reliability, and a service-oriented mindset within a health and wellness club environment. You’ll be part of a dynamic team with flexible scheduling and perks that support wellbeing and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer service is advantageous.
• L2 certificate in food safety and hygiene is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Greet and serve members and guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Prepare and serve beverages and light snacks efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Provide information about the club’s services and facilities as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Rate of Pay : £12.71 per hour

A typical day in the life of a Cafe Bar Assistant:

• Greet and serve members and guests with a friendly and positive attitude.

• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.

It would be desirable if you had a L2 certificate in food safety and hygiene. Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role would be an advantage.
