Job summary

The Orchard Bar at the Bamford Wellness Spa on Daylesford Farm in Gloucestershire is seeking a Café Assistant and Host to warmly welcome guests and deliver exceptional service. Two vacancies with zero hours or a 32-hour contract, both including weekends, shifts 08:00-16:30 or 09:00-17:30.

You will assist guests with menu knowledge, ensure smooth dining, and promote conscious living aligned with Bamford's sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cafe environment or hospitality and catering is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional communication skills with a warm and approachable manner.
• A proactive approach to delivering luxury-level customer service.
• Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
• A love for hospitality and wellness and connecting with people.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with all requirements by offering suggestions and demonstrating great menu knowledge.
• Providing excellent service to each guest who visits the Spa and Cafe, ensuring that all guest needs are exceeded at all times
• Monitor the open dining section of the cafe, estimating waiting times for guests and ensuring that their needs are met while they are waiting.
• Ensure you are up to date with menu offering and produce and love food!
• Your natural confidence will enable you to understand calm and clear instruction during busy periods.
• Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality

About The Role

A calming and restorative space to unwind between treatments, The Orchard Bar at the Bamford Wellness Spa, located on Daylesford Farm in Kingham, Gloucestershire, offers a seasonally inspired menu made using the finest organic ingredients from the farm.

Our in-house nutritional chef oversees the changing menu, creating fresh, balanced and nutritious dishes with optimal wellbeing in mind.

As a Café Assistant and Host, you will be responsible for warmly welcoming and greeting our guests on arrival, while delivering an exceptional level of service and creating a memorable experience for every guest.

We have two vacancies, a zero hour contract or 32 hour contract, both including weekends.

SHIFT TIMES

08:00 - 16:30 or 09:00 - 17:30

SALARY

£13.11 per hour plus tronc

• Previous experience in a cafe environment or hospitality and catering industry would be highly advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional communication skills with a warm and approachable manner.
