Champneys in Wilmslow is seeking a friendly Café Assistant to join our wellness-focused cafés. You will welcome guests, take reservations, serve food and drinks, and help maintain the café’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Learn our menus, advise on dietary needs, handle payments and work with Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams to deliver memorable guest experiences. Full training provided; late shifts are rare to support a healthy work-life balance.

Qualificações

• Hospitality experience is a plus; full training provided.
• Customer service focus with guest-facing responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to support the café team.

As a Café Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the guest experience, welcoming visitors, managing reservations, serving food and drinks, and ensuring every guest receives the high standards of service that Champneys is renowned for. You'll become knowledgeable about our menus and healthy food offerings, confidently helping guests choose dishes that suit their preferences and dietary requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Welcoming guests with a friendly and professional approach


• Taking reservations and managing table allocation to deliver an outstanding guest experience


• Serving food and drinks both at tables and over the counter


• Providing knowledgeable advice on menu choices, ingredients and allergens


• Building positive relationships with guests and responding to their needs


• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the café


• Monitoring stock levels and helping to maintain availability of products


• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety


• Accurately processing payments and posting charges to guest accounts


• Completing opening and closing duties to prepare the café for service


• Working closely with colleagues across Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams

What we're looking for

Previous hospitality experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
