Job summary

Champneys Café is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team in the UK. You will welcome guests, manage reservations, and serve food and drinks while upholding our high service standards and dietary guidance.

You'll build guest relationships, support daily café operations, and work with Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams. Training is provided; late-evening shifts are typically not required to support a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting smooth day-to-day café operations.
• Monitoring stock levels and maintaining product availability.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety.
• Processing payments and posting charges to guest accounts.
• Completing opening and closing duties for service.
• Working closely with Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams.

As a Café Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the guest experience, welcoming visitors, managing reservations, serving food and drinks, and ensuring every guest receives the high standards of service that Champneys is renowned for. You'll become knowledgeable about our menus and healthy food offerings, confidently helping guests choose dishes that suit their preferences and dietary requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
• Accurately processing payments and posting charges to guest accounts
• Completing opening and closing duties to prepare the café for service
• Working closely with colleagues across Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams

Previous hospitality experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
