Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a CAD Technician to join the Energy Team on the SSE Western Isles Framework. You will work closely with the wider team to produce accurate technical drawings and support project delivery.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years' Civil Engineering/Construction experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, with knowledge of construction techniques and building regulations. The role emphasizes timely delivery, quality checks and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in Civil Engineering/Construction.
• Proficient in AutoCAD software.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and building regulations.
• Experience with other software is desirable.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the wider team to ensure accurate drawings and models.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical insights for optimisation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate drawings into the project system.
• Liaise with site engineers and convert survey data into main drawings for construction.
• Adhere to project timelines and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Conduct regular quality checks on drawings and models to maintain high standards.
• Stay updated with advancements in related software technologies.
• Support continuous improvements across the team.
