Job summary
Murphy is recruiting a Design Coordinator to work with the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework. The role delivers design coordination, reviews submissions, and ensures proper use of the CDE system across internal designers, consultants, and suppliers.
The successful candidate will have a HNC/HND in civil engineering or similar, plus design experience on Power/T&D or EPC projects and familiarity with Autodesk tools and BIM.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND in civil engineering, construction or similar.
- Engineering design experience in Power and Transmission or EPC projects.
- Exposure to design management/coordination and construction.
- Experience of Autodesk suite including AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
- BIM, CDEs and document control familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Review submissions for quality and sufficiency.
- Lead design engineering matters on small/medium projects.
- Coordinate design teams, suppliers and interface contractors.
- Ensure Aconex or client-approved CDE system is properly used.
- Monitor design progress against the project programme.
- Oversee constructability and temporary works considerations.
- Review progress using CAD/BIM tools and report NCRs.
