Job summary

Recruit4staff LTD is representing an established environmental and infrastructure consultancy in Liverpool for a CAD Technician role. The position offers a salary of £35,000–£45,000 per annum and requires producing CAD drawings, GIS maps, and 3D models for major UK infrastructure projects.

You will travel to development sites, create ZTV maps, and support planners in securing planning permission within a busy planning team.

Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.

• Full UK driving licence.
• The successful CAD Technician will work effectively within a collaborative planning team.

Responsibilities

• Produce CAD drawings, GIS mapping, 3D models and photomontages for UK infrastructure developments.
• Create GIS-based planning maps and Zone of Theoretical Visibility (ZTV) maps while supporting planners in securing planning permission.
• Travel to development sites across the UK to capture photography and measure existing features for accurate 3D modelling.

Job Details

Pay: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday with flexibility on start and finish times (ideally 9:00am - 5:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm)

Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a CAD Technician, you will produce CAD drawings, GIS mapping, 3D models and photomontages for UK infrastructure developments. The CAD Technician will create GIS-based planning maps and Zone of Theoretical Visibility (ZTV) maps while supporting planners in securing planning permission. You will also travel to development sites across the UK to capture photography and measure existing features for accurate 3D modelling within a busy and dynamic environment.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience producing CAD drawings, 3D visualisations and GIS maps.
• Full UK driving licence.
• The successful CAD Technician will be able to work effectively within a collaborative planning team.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Academic or professional qualifications in Geomatics, Surveying, Environmental Science, Technical Drawing or Design Processes.
• Previous experience in a similar CAD Technician role would be advantageous.
