Solutions Limited in Desborough is seeking a CAD Draughtsman / CAD Engineer to produce precise 3D SolidWorks models and 2D manufacturing drawings for steel structures and sheet metal fabrications.

You will develop BOMs, work closely with shop-floor fabrication, welding and assembly teams, and ensure production-ready drawings with accurate tolerances.

Qualifications

CAD Draughtsman / CAD Engineer

• Salary & Benefits: £30,000 – £38,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus + Progression + 25 Days Holiday (+ Bank Holidays) + Life Assurance + Free Parking

• Location: Desborough (Commutable from Kettering, Corby, Market Harborough, Leicester, Northampton, Wellingborough)

You will produce accurate 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings for steel structures, sheet metal fabrications, and mechanical sub-assemblies using SolidWorks. Working closely with Senior Mechanical Design Engineers, you will convert initial design concepts into detailed, production-ready drawing packs and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs). You will liaise directly with shop-floor fabrication, welding, and assembly teams to resolve technical queries, clarify manufacturing tolerances, process engineering change requests (ECRs), and update legacy drawing packages for core product lines.
