Position Overview

As a CAD Technician, you will produce assembly and detail drawings of our range of products using Autodesk Inventor.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce general arrangement (GA), production, detail, and install drawings of Balmoral products from in-house and client-provided information using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Communicate directly with our clients to develop project solutions and GA drawings to meet their needs and fulfil the project budget.
• Produce information in the form of drawings and specifications which allows the contracts, projects, and production departments to perform their functions efficiently.
• Contribute to the continuing improvement programme to reduce costs and raise quality.
• Produce information to meet client and in-house deadlines and advise early of any anticipated delays.
• Operate a safe working environment and ensure all relevant company procedures and policies are adhered to in the performance of the above duties.

Ideal Candidate

Required:

• 2 years’ CAD experience (gained through education is acceptable)
  
  

Desirable:

• 2 years’ CAD experience in industry
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• A-levels, HNC or HND, or equivalent, in a recognised Engineering/Design discipline
• Knowledge of 2D/3D Modelling and Drawing software
  
  

Desirable:

• Degree in Engineering/Design discipline
• Knowledge of Autodesk Software (Inventor, Vault)
• Familiar with Draughting standards such as BS8888
• Knowledge of Sectional/Modular Storage Tanks
