Job summary

RSE is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our in-house design team on a permanent basis. You will lead design activities from concept through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.

You will work within our multidisciplinary team, manage multiple projects, drive design deliverables, and liaise with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent (HND/HNC) required.
• Experience in multidiscipline design teams.
• Experience across all design stages is desirable.
• Design management experience is desirable.
• Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design from inception to implantation.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
• Develop design deliverables.
• Complete checking and approvals processes.
• Arrange procurement of goods and services.
• Prepare scope estimates/quotations.
• Assemble contract works information documents.
• Consider health, safety, quality, and environment.
• Liaise with stakeholders for projects.
• Manage project change control and programme requirements.
• Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our Chemical & Wastewater Solutions team is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, and work as part of our in-house, multidisciplinary design team. You will take on a leading role in aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low carbon solutions.

Some Of Your Key Duties Include

• Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards.
• Develop design deliverables.

• Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
• Assemble contract works information documents.

• Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
• Implement project change control and programme requirements.
• Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.

What Do You Need?

• Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a multidiscipline design team.
• Experience of working at all design stages is highly desirable.
• Design management experience is highly desirable.
• Possess the ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
