Join a dynamic team in Edinburgh as a CAD Technician, where you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality AutoCAD drawings for diverse projects, including renewable energy initiatives. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while allowing for regular team collaboration. You will utilize your technical skills and initiative to support project delivery, ensuring adherence to client specifications and deadlines. If you are passionate about design and eager to contribute to innovative projects, this opportunity is perfect for you.
We are expanding our Edinburgh team and are looking to hire a CAD Technician.
About the Role
Based in our growing Edinburgh team, you will assist in the production of the final AutoCAD drawings for a range of projects ranging from swept path assessments, junction layouts, cycleway design, housing developments, through to large scale renewable projects across Europe.
The Edinburgh team offers a unique opportunity to be fully remote in your work; however, as the team meets up regularly, you would still need to be able to access Edinburgh for team meetings. This should not preclude applications from anywhere within the UK.
As part of your role, you will establish a sound understanding of the client brief. Implementing your own initiative and technical skills, you will support the wider (multi-disciplinary) project team through safe, efficient, and effective delivery of tasks to deadlines.
This will ensure that the project remains within budget and to agreed standards. You will be responsible for the delivery of assigned tasks whilst acting under minimal supervision; therefore, you will be expected to plan your own work to meet given objectives.
