Job summary

Consortium Professional Recruitment are partnering with a client to recruit a CAD Team Leader for an engineering role near Beverley. You will lead a drawing office, delivering high-quality engineering drawings for overhead line (OHL) and structural projects, ensuring compliance with standards and tight delivery milestones.

Qualifications

• Extensive engineering/Civil/infrastructure experience with overhead line (OHL) projects.
• Advanced working knowledge of CAD software such as Microstation, Solid Edge, NX.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams and coordinating drawing office workloads.
• Strong communication and collaboration with engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating a team of draughtspersons to deliver high quality engineering drawings in line with standards.
• Overseeing production of drawings including OHL layouts, wire clearance diagrams, structural detailing.
• Providing technical CAD expertise to support new project opportunities, tenders and feasibility discussions.
• Collaborating with engineers and project managers to resolve design challenges and maintain delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Mentoring team members through coaching, guidance and structured development.
