Job summary

Consortium Professional Recruitment are seeking a CAD Team Leader for a Derby-based role within a key engineering team delivering overhead line (OHL) and structural projects.

You will lead a drawing office, coordinate CAD deliverables, and mentor staff while ensuring engineering standards across multiple workstreams. The role requires strong leadership, technical excellence, and collaboration with engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in engineering/Civil/infrastructure environments with exposure to OHL or similar power projects.
• Advanced knowledge of CAD software: MicroStation, Solid Edge, NX or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of draughtspersons to deliver high quality engineering drawings.
• Oversee production of drawings including OHL layouts, wire clearance diagrams, detailing, and tower models.
• Provide CAD expertise to support new projects, tenders, and feasibility discussions.
