Siemens Software in Cambridge (UK) is offering a 12-month Software Engineer Internship as part of the Strategic Student Program. You will work on D-Cubed Components, developing algorithms for CAD software and engaging with customers to interpret requirements.

The role involves lifecycle activities, collaboration with engineers, and learning advanced mathematics and software concepts, with hybrid work options and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a course that includes a year-long industrial placement.
• Sound knowledge of vector algebra and applying it to 3D problems.
• Programming experience in C, C++ or another high-level language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to numerical accuracy.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work effectively in a team.
• Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn unfamiliar mathematical concepts.

Responsabilités

• Work with customers to understand and interpret their requirements.
• Research, design and implement reliable, efficient algorithms with high quality and on-time delivery.
• Undertake all aspects of the software development lifecycle including project management, requirements definition, and testing.
