Job summary

Bosch in Coventry offers a 12-month Development Engineer Intern placement beginning in June 2027 for undergraduate students. You will contribute to the development of mechanical tools and support project teams with design tasks and documentation.

You will create 3D models and 2D drawings, work on design solutions, and assist in prototype validation up to production. Proficiency in Solidworks and CAD, plus MS Office, is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering student with an opportunity to participate in a work placement as part of their course.
• Proficiency in Solidworks and CAD tools; experience with MS Office is beneficial.
• Familiarity with PDM systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Independent development of products and collaboration in project teams.
• Creation of 3D solid models and 2D drawings as well as parts lists.
• Creation of concept proposals and project documentation.
• Development of design solutions considering functional, material, manufacturing and economic aspects.
• Prototype validation support and progression to series production.
• Adherence to time schedules and development costs.
