Job summary
Survey Solutions is seeking a CAD Operator to join the surveying team in Ipswich or Colchester. You will create survey drawings (elevations, floor plans, roof plans) from Point Cloud data, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Requirements include strong CAD software knowledge (AutoCAD/BrisCAD), experience with 3D topographical models, and the ability to meet client deadlines. A UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are expected.
Qualifications
- Proficient in CAD software with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.
- Experience producing survey drawings from point cloud data.
- Able to review and check measured building survey drawings.
- Experience with 3D topographical models from point cloud data.
- Desirable experience with Trimble RealWorks/Leica Cyclone.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD and BrisCAD.
- Complete survey drawings ready for client issue.
- Draw survey data from Point Cloud data for floor, ceiling and roof plans.
- Produce elevations and cross sections from point clouds.
- Update existing drawings per client requirements and deadlines.
- Check volume calculations in BrisCAD and SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with surveyors to ensure site understanding and quality.
