Job summary

Tyrone International Ltd. in Nuneaton seeks a CAD Draughtsperson & Assistant Proposals Engineer to produce CAD layouts, liaise with suppliers, and support proposals within the Engineering department.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. A full driving license and UK passport are required; the company offers a 4.5-day week and a pension.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CAD layouts using Autocad, Sales GA layouts, civils layouts, flow diagrams, pipework layouts, stairs and access layouts.
• Communicate with suppliers for information and layouts.
• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Be proficient in the use of Autocad.
• Work with the Engineering and Proposals departments.
• Work from arrangement drawings or by measuring components.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and staff to ensure feasibility and cost effectiveness of design.
• Ensure drawings are reviewed and up to date.
• Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Work on own initiative and as part of a team.

CAD Draughtsperson & Assistant Proposals Engineer

LOCATION | Nuneaton, Warwickshire
DEPARTMENT | Engineering/ Proposals
RESPONSIBLE TO | Operations Manager
SALARY | £25,000 to £30,000

Your responsibilities are but not limited to:

• To prepare CAD layouts using Autocad, Sales GA layouts, civils layouts, flow diagrams, pipework layouts, stairs and access layouts.
• To be capable of communicating with suppliers for information and layouts.
• Have an understanding of British Standards for stairs, walkways, access platforms etc. would be advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Be proficient in the use of Autocad.
• Advantageous if any experience in 3D software.
• Work with the Engineering department and Proposals department.
• Working from an arrangement drawing or by measuring components etc.
• Liaise with customers \ suppliers \ other members of staff to ensure feasibility and cost effectiveness of design
• Ensure drawings are reviewed and revised as necessary. Keep all documentation upto date.
• Able to use Microsoft Office to include word, excel, outlook, power point etc.
• Must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
• Previous experience of working in a CAD/Mechanical environment and proposals department advantageous.
