Job summary

TM Green Group in Kidderminster is seeking a skilled CAD Draughtsperson / CAD Designer to join our civil engineering team. The role focuses on accurate 2D and 3D drawings, modelling, and supporting projects from concept through to construction documentation.

You will produce drawings, prepare quantity take-offs, maintain drawing registers, and collaborate with engineers, project managers and site teams. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Revit and a solid understanding of civil engineering

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CAD Draughtsperson / CAD Designer in civil engineering.
• Strong drafting and modelling skills for civil projects.
• Familiarity with industry standards and specifications.

Job Title: CAD Draughtsperson / CAD Designer (Civil Engineering)

We are a growing civil engineering company seeking a skilled CAD Draughtsperson / CAD Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical drafting skills and experience in civil engineering design, modelling, and quantity take-offs.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate CAD drawings for civil engineering projects
• Prepare quantity take-offs and material schedules from drawings and models
• Assist with design development and revisions
• Create and maintain 2D and 3D models
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards, specifications, and regulations
• Manage drawing revisions and maintain drawing registers

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CAD Draughtsperson / CAD Designer in civil engineering
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar)
• Experience with take-offs and quantities
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Desirable Skills

• Experience with 3D modelling and BIM workflows
• Knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roads, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with industry standards and specifications
