Job summary

TRIbuild Solutions Limited is seeking a CAD Technician to join a leading infrastructure contractor in Swindon. This permanent role supports production and management of drawings across live construction projects, with a focus on civils and infrastructure.

The role requires strong AutoCAD skills, knowledge of PAS1192-2:2013, and the ability to work with architects, engineers and building services to deliver precise 2D/3D drawings while complying with QA, SHE and sustainability standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction activities and infrastructure projects.
• Applied knowledge of PAS1192-2:2013 and its processes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure design processes.
• Ability to identify, interpret, and apply required industry/client/internal CAD standards.
• Proficient in core 2D/3D CAD applications, primarily AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Produce and/or amend information, graphical models, and layouts in accordance with standard methods and procedures.
• Support the project team in delivering drawings as required.
• Coordinate the filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings.
• Create 2D/3D files, ensuring appropriate file attributes are captured correctly.
• Produce and amend drawings in accordance with the Project SMP.
• Visit sites as required.
• Take verbal direction and translate this into sketches and calculations to produce final work.
• Draw maps, diagrams, or plans for construction projects and structures.
• Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, building services, and other construction professionals to produce plans and drawings.
• Support and deputise for the BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager where required.
• Ensure drawings and models are prepared in accordance with QA, SHE, and sustainability standards, including consideration of biodiversity and carbon emissions.

This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced CAD professional with a background in civils and infrastructure to support the production and management of drawings across live construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
