Penguin Recruitment, on behalf of the client, is seeking a skilled CAD Designer with AutoCAD (and BricsCAD preferred) to join a construction/mechanical building services team in Reading. This office-based role requires daily attendance at the Reading office and a CSCS card.

Key duties include creating detailed drawings, coordinating with project teams, visiting sites, and uploading documents to Procore or Asite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Construction Industry Subcontractor or Mechanical/Building Services Engineering role (or similar).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; BricsCAD experience highly desirable.
• Familiarity with noise control products, sheet metal fabrication, and architectural louvres is advantageous.
• Experience with platforms such as Procore and Asite is a plus.
• A CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and drafting technical drawings for various projects.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Attending site visits to gather information and ensure designs align with on-site conditions.

Overview

Penguin Recruitment, on behalf of the company, is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Designer to join the team. This exciting role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in AutoCAD (and preferably BricsCAD), along with a solid understanding of the construction or mechanical/building services engineering industry. The role is predominantly office-based and requires daily attendance at the company's Reading office.

Responsibilities

• Creating and developing detailed designs using AutoCAD and, ideally, BricsCAD.

• Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
