Penguin Recruitment is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join a Reading-based team. You will design detailed drawings using AutoCAD (and BricsCAD), collaborate with project teams, and visit sites as required. A CSCS card is preferred, with Procore/Asite experience a bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Construction Industry Subcontractor or Mechanical/Building Services Engineering role (or similar).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; BricsCAD is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with noise control products, sheet metal fabrication, and architectural louvres is advantageous.
• Experience with platforms such as Procore and Asite is a plus.
• A CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Overview

Penguin Recruitment, on behalf of the company, is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Designer to join the team. This exciting role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in AutoCAD (and preferably BricsCAD), along with a solid understanding of the construction or mechanical/building services engineering industry. The role is predominantly office-based and requires daily attendance at the company's Reading office.

Responsibilities

• Creating and developing detailed designs using AutoCAD and, ideally, BricsCAD.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and client requirements.

• Uploading and downloading drawings using platforms such as Procore and Asite.
• Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant products and technical standards.
