Job summary

Luton Bennett is seeking a CAD Design Engineer for sheet metal construction products in Reading. The role focuses on 2D CAD design, producing general arrangement and manufacturing drawings for noise control projects, and collaborating with clients to meet project requirements.

The candidate will work with AutoCAD/BricsCAD, attend site visits, and liaise with the factory to ensure smooth production. Training on products is provided; a permanent position with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 2D CAD experience in construction, Noise Control or Building/Mechanical Services.
• Experience in designing products fabricated from sheet metal with a knowledge of light weight structural steel fabrications.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce general arrangement and detailed drawings for Noise Control projects.
• Create manufacturing and installation drawings and parts lists.
• Produce fixings list and liaise with factory to ensure smooth manufacturing.
• Attend site visits when required and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
• Assist with general office duties and project coordination.
• Review and update drawings based on client comments and design changes.

9am to 5.30pm Mon - Thurs & Friday 9am - 4.30pm

CAD Design Engineer required for an expanding and well-established company. The company offer training on their products and services.

Candidates need experience of 2D CAD sheet metal designs in construction, building services or noise control.

You will create general arrangement and detailed drawings for Noise Control projects, ensuring specifications are met. The successful candidate will work within a small team and with clients to develop designs to meet project requirements. You may be required to attend site visits when needed, a pool car/expenses will be available.

The CAD Design Engineer Role in Brief:

• Produce 2D designs using AutoCAD and BricsCAD
• Review and update drawings based upon client comments/design changes
• Produce manufacturing drawings

The CAD Design Engineer Required Experience:
