Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering business in Northampton for a part-time CAD Designer on a 3-month contract with potential extension.

You will produce and modify 2D/3D drawings (Fusion 360) for mechanical and hydraulic systems, ensure manufacturability, and support engineers across projects. Flexible hours: 20-30 per week, rate £25-£30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Create and modify 2D/3D CAD drawings using Fusion 360.

The Role

As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed engineering drawings and supporting the design of mechanical and hydraulic systems for a range of bespoke engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Fusion 360.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a CAD Designer, CAD Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Designer, or similar role.
• Proficient in Fusion 360.
• Strong mechanical engineering understanding.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems would be highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Experience within manufacturing, machinery, automation, plant, hydraulics, or special-purpose machinery environments would be advantageous.
