Job summary

The Best Connection Group - Manchester are currently recruiting a CAD Engineer for our client, a fast-growing and highly respected company within the IT industry based in Trafford Park. This role focuses on bespoke engineering projects and the development of edge computing solutions.

You will create and maintain product designs, manufacturing drawings and BoMs, and complete technical documentation to support production.

Qualifications

• Experience using SolidWorks or SolidEdge for 3D CAD design.
• Strong mechanical design understanding and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with BoMs and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain product designs.
• Produce manufacturing drawings and BoMs.
• Complete technical documentation while supporting production.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong 3D CAD experience who enjoys working on bespoke engineering projects and supporting the development of custom edge computing solutions.

Working

• Monday to Friday
• Monday-Thursday: 08:30 - 17:30
• Friday: 08:30 - 13:30

Salary

Details

• Creating and maintaining product designs

• The role involves working closely internal team to ensure the best for our Clients

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience using SolidWorks, SolidEdge, or similar 3D CAD software
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes
• Experience working with BoMs and ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent team player but someone who is self managed
• Comfortable with working in a fast paced environment
