Job summary

A leading data solutions provider in Derby is seeking an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to join ongoing projects. You will manage the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate has previous experience and relevant certifications such as CSCS or ECS. This position offers both long-term and short-term contracts with a hands-on role in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Data Cabling Engineer.
• CSCS/ECS card required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• IPAF/PASMA qualifications are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Installing Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optic cabling.
• Terminating and testing data cables to required standards.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting on site.
• Follow site drawings and health and safety standards.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to join ongoing projects across Stafford. This is a hands-on role covering the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems in commercial and industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Installing Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optic cabling
• Terminating and testing data cables to required standards
• Containment work (tray, basket, trunking, conduit)
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Working to site drawings and H&S standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Data Cabling Engineer
• CSCS/ECS card
• Own tools & PPE
• IPAF/PASMA (advantage)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Rate & Hours

• Long-term and short-term contracts available
