Job summary

Surge Data Centre Services is looking for experienced Cabling Engineers to work across data centre and commercial projects throughout London. The role focuses on installing fibre-optic cabling, delivering full fibre-backbone installations, routing and securing cabling, and testing fibre connections.

• Previous experience with fibre installations.

• Strong understanding of fibre-backbone infrastructure.
• Good attention to detail and cable-management standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• ECS/CSCS card and relevant industry qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installing fibre-optic cabling within data centres and commercial premises.
• Delivering complete fibre-backbone installations.
• Routing, dressing and securing fibre cabling.
• Fibre termination, splicing and testing.
• Labelling installations and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Reading drawings and following site specifications.
• Working safely and efficiently as part of the site team.

Job description

Pay: £180-£240 per day, depending on experience and project

Break: 1-hour unpaid break

Overtime: Paid at 1.25x-1.5x, depending on the project
