Job summary

4Wall Entertainment is seeking a Cable Prep Technician to join the UK warehouse team in Hertford. The role involves hands-on preparation of cables, connectors and consumables, ensuring quality and readiness for live events.

You will inspect, test, label and organise cables, maintain cable stocks and assist with rigging tasks. Occasional travel to other locations may be required, with travel costs covered by the company.

Qualifications

• Experience with professional AV, lighting, power, or data cabling is desirable.
• Good understanding of cable preparation, testing, maintenance and organisation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Organised and able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computer systems and asset management software.
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, colour code, label, maintain and organise cables and connectors to quality standards.
• Maintain cable trunks, bags, spares and consumables, reporting shortages or damage.
• Pull and prepare cables and equipment for jobs, coordinating with Warehouse, Operations and Technical teams.
• Use company systems to check daily work, allocate equipment to jobs and keep records.
• Support broader warehouse operations, including stock taking and maintenance.
• Assist Logistics with rigging and de-rigging when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace following Health & Safety standards.
• Complete relevant paperwork and timesheets accurately.
