Job summary

Borehole Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Cable Percussion Drilling Lead Driller and a 2nd Man to operate and maintain cable percussion rigs across UK sites, including ground investigations and sampling.

Responsibilities include logging boreholes, following risk assessments, and collaborating with site engineers. A strong health and safety commitment and UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Cable Percussion Drilling (min 3 years).
• Valid CSCS cards are required.
• Full UK driving licence (ideally with C1/C endorsement).
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Land Drilling or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques and sampling.
• Ability to read and interpret site drawings/specifications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cable percussion drilling rigs on various sites.
• Mobilise and demobilise drilling equipment as required.
• Follow site risk assessments and method statements.
• Collect soil/rock samples for lab testing.
• Keep accurate borehole logs and sample records.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed on site.
• Liaise with site engineers/clients; work as part of a team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues; maintain vehicles/equipment.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cable Percussion Drilling team ( Cable Percussion Lead Driller & 2nd Man) to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining cable percussion drilling rigs on a variety of sites, undertaking ground investigations and geotechnical sampling.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining cable percussion drilling rigs, including mobilization and demobilization.
• Conducting drilling operations in accordance with site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
• Collecting soil and rock samples for laboratory testing.
• Maintaining accurate records of drilling activities, including borehole logs and sample information.
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Working effectively as part of a team.
• Liaising with site engineers and clients.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any on-site issues.
• Maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Essential Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience as a Cable Percussion Drilling (minimum 3 years)
