Job summary

Google is seeking a Cable Landing Station Contract Manager in London to lead the full contract management lifecycle for global submarine networks. You will standardize processes, mitigate commercial risk, and partner with legal, procurement, and engineering teams to maintain robust contract governance across international programs.

You will collaborate on international capital projects, ensuring alignment with global templates, and support project teams through RFPs and contractual negotiations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 6 years of experience in contract management, claims, and commercial governance in international capital programs or construction projects.
• 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a standardized global contract management framework and procedures, ensuring the strict control and annual review of core global templates.
• Deliver expert contractual support for the Two-Phase Contracting Approach (PCSA/SOW and Fixed Price Lump Sum Construction Agreements) and advise Project Teams throughout the RFP process.
• Implement contract localization guidelines, oversee the Central Contract Register as the single source of truth, and proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate commercial risks across the global portfolio.
• Enforce rigorous governance oversight for managing contract variations and claims, ensuring strict adherence to global standards for formal documentation, evaluation, and approvals.
• Act as the primary contractual liaison between Project Teams, Operations, Global Legal, and Procurement, while developing and delivering targeted training on the successful utilization of global contract building blocks.

• Deep knowledge of international standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC, NEC) and the ability to interpret complex contract law principles.
• Ability to negotiate effectively, communicate complex contractual governance issues clearly, and manage multidisciplinary teams in a geographically dispersed environment.
• Ability to comfortably work in ambiguous, collaborative, and fast-paced environments.

As a part of the Global Submarine Networks (GSN) team, you will be responsible for creating and managing Google's international submarine transport networks. Within GSN, the Global Cable Landing Station (gCLS) Build Team is tasked with building our Cable Landing Stations around the globe.

As a Cable Landing Station Contract Manager, you will cover the full contract management life-cycle, focusing heavily on global standardization and risk mitigation across our international capital programs. You will collaborate with global legal, procurement, and engineering teams to develop, implement, and maintain standardized contract management frameworks. Ultimately, your expertise will provide critical contractual support for the construction, operation, and scaling of Google's global submarine networks.
