Job summary

Chevron Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cabin Mechanic for our client's Base Maintenance team in Prestwick. You will carry out routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance with a focus on cabin systems and wiring modifications, working alongside certifying engineers.

Ideal candidates have a recognised aviation apprenticeship and proven base maintenance experience, with strong documentation skills and a safety-focused approach in a busy, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• A recognised apprenticeship within the aviation industry or a similar technical discipline.
• Proven experience working within an aircraft base maintenance environment.
• Ability to interpret aircraft technical documentation and maintenance instructions.
• Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance production planning.
• Good communication skills and computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and meet operational deadlines.
• A flexible, proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved procedures and documentation.
• Experienced in completing wiring modifications primarily on the Airbus family of aircraft but Boeing aircraft would also be an asset.
• Work closely with leading mechanics and certifying engineers to ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with tooling procedures, health and safety standards and human factors requirements.
• Identify and report technical findings, hazards and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Hours: 5/5/4 shift 07 00

Salary: up to £46,260.00
