Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited is seeking a Software Engineer (C++) in Norfolk for an on-site role with a £35k-£55k package and a 4½ day week. The team develops defence R&D software, with MISRA standards and Linux deployment, and a modernising approach to workflows.

The role covers full lifecycle software for R&D projects, including GUI, integration on prototype equipment, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in software, computer systems, maths, physics or similar.
• C++ strength relative to experience; MISRA standards
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset; ability to explain technical work to varied audiences

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new software in C++, to MISRA standards
• Build graphical user interfaces (QT) and deploy on Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu)
• Write interface software for external hardware and third-party software
• Analyse trials data and document findings for technical and non-technical audiences
• Integrate software on prototype equipment and support its rollout in tests
• Keep code under version control with Git
