Poundland & Dealz in Watford is hiring a Buying Assistant to support our Pep&Co clothing range. Based in our Watford office with hybrid flexibility, you will work with the Essentials clothing team on men’s, women’s and children’s wear across nightwear, underwear, socks and seasonal lines.

You will help with competitor reports, organise product samples, contribute to range builds, manage spreadsheets, and arrange supplier meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in Retail Clothing Buying or a Fashion-related degree
• Attention to detail is essential with strong Excel and analytical skills
• Creative with a passion for fashion and identifying trends
• Ability to build relationships in a bustling workplace

Responsibilities

• Assisting with competitor shopping reports, including website reviews, store visits and analysing promotional activity to see our missed opportunities
• Supporting the organisation of product samples, you could be part of bringing in the next viral product
• Being a key support as part of the range build process
• Taking ownership of spreadsheets, data is key in buying, along with category admin tasks, including the essential critical path for category products
• Arranging supplier meetings and attending where needed

oin us here at Poundland & Dealz as a Buying Assistant, based at our Watford office supporting our clothing brand Pep&Co. The role offers some flexibility for hybrid working.

As a Buying Assistant with us, you’ll be aligned to our Essentials clothing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop knowledge our men’s, women’s and children’s clothing offering across our nightwear, underwear, socks & hosiery, swimwear and seasonal ranges.

Your day to day will involve:

• Assisting with competitor shopping reports, including website reviews, store visits and analysing promotional activity to see our missed opportunities.
• Supporting the organisation of product samples, you could be part of bringing in the next viral product.
• Being a key support as part of the range build process.
• Taking ownership of spreadsheets, data is key in buying, along with category admin tasks, including the essential critical path for category products.

We are looking for a Buying Assistant with experience in Retail Clothing Buying or a recent Graduate in a Fashion-related degree who is ambitious to develop a career in buying.

You will have attention to detail that is on point, with strong excel and analytical skills. You will be creative with a passion for fashion and identifying trends.
