Poundland & Dealz are seeking a Buying Assistant based at our Watford office, supporting Pep&Co. The role offers hybrid working and the chance to contribute to our Essentials clothing range across men’s, women’s and children’s wear.

You’ll help with competitor reports, sample organisation, range builds, and critical-path data, while building strong supplier relationships. A fashion-related degree or retail clothing buying experience is preferred, with strong Excel and analytical skills.

Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as a Buying Assistant, based at our Watford office supporting our clothing brand Pep&Co. The role offers some flexibility for hybrid working.

Buying Assistant with us, you’ll be aligned to our Essentials clothing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop knowledge our men’s, women’s and children’s clothing offering across our nightwear, underwear, socks & hosiery, swimwear and seasonal ranges.

Your Day To Day Will Involve

• Assisting with competitor shopping reports, including website reviews, store visits and analysing promotional activity to see our missed opportunities.
• Supporting the organisation of product samples, you could be part of bringing in the next viral product.
• Being a key support as part of the range build process.
• Taking ownership of spreadsheets, data is key in buying, along with category admin tasks, including the essential critical path for category products.
• Arranging supplier meetings and attending where needed.

We are looking for a Buying Assistant with experience in Retail Clothing Buying or a recent Graduate in a Fashion-related degree who is ambitious to develop a career in buying.

You will have attention to detail that is on point, with strong excel and analytical skills. You will be creative with a passion for fashion and identifying trends.

Aside from skills, your approach is essential; a natural team player, who thrives off being around a bustling workplace environment and is at ease building relationships. Positive, determined, with competitive mindset will be vital to success in the role.
