Job summary

ASL in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Buyer to join our market leading engineering team. You will manage purchase orders, pricing, supplier communications and ensure on-time delivery for goods and services.

The role offers a salary around £33,000–£38,000 depending on experience, plus a strong benefits package including annual bonus, pension, generous holiday allowance and healthcare. This is a great step in procurement within a forward-thinking company.

Qualifications

• Good experience in purchasing, buying, procurement and related activities.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and SAP or similar.
• Knowledge of imports/exports, freight and customs clearance is advantageous.
• Supplier relationship management and negotiation skills are desirable.
• Procurement processes within engineering/manufacturing or fast-paced environments with multiple suppliers.

• Import/export documentation handling.
• Communication with suppliers on quotations, progress, and pricing.

Job description

A motivated purchasing Buyer is required for our market leading, award-winning engineering client. In return there is a excellent salary of circa 33k- 38k+ dependant on experience with excellent company benefits including annual company bonus, excellent pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, healthcare and career in an established reputable company.

The ideal buyer will have the following key skills and experiences;

• Good experience of purchasing, buying, being a buyer, purchasing buyer, procurement, purchasing experience
• Good systems experience, ERP, MRP, SAP or similar
• Experience, knowledge of imports, exports, freight, customs clearance (advantageous)
• Some supplier relationship management experience and negotiation skills
• Experience of procurement processes within engineering, manufacturing or technical industries ideally or similar fast paced environment with multiple suppliers

• Supplier communication- regarding quotations, order progress, deliveries, pricing queries, availability issues
