Buyer,Premium Food Retailer, London, A£50,000 base salary + up to A£20,000 performance bonus

We are working in partnership with a successful and fast-growing independent food retailer to recruit a talented and commercially minded Buyer . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-led business during an exciting phase of expansion and transformation

About the Role

As Buyer, you will play a key role in shaping the product range, enhancing supplier relationships, and driving commercial performance across a multi-site retail business. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with the leadership team to develop and deliver a successful and compelling retail offer.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and manage product ranges across food and grocery categories
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, producers, and wholesalers
* Conduct regular market and trend analysis to identify gaps and opportunities
* Optimise pricing, promotions, and margin performance
* Oversee ordering, stock management, and supplier negotiation processes
* Implement and improve buying and merchandising systems

About You

We are looking for an experienced food Buyer who:

* Has solid experience in independent food retail (such as premium delis, food halls, or high-quality convenience stores)
* Understands how to build, price, and manage a commercially successful product range
* Brings strong commercial acumen , with a keen eye for trends and product performance
* Has experience developing internal systems across buying, stock control, and pricing
* Thrives in entrepreneurial and fast-paced environments
* Is passionate about food, quality, and customer experience
