Job Opportunity: Buyer at a Prestigious Manufacturing Company

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned manufacturing company as a Buyer within their Buying team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in Buying, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Estimating. Language skills in Mandarin or Cantonese are highly beneficial but not essential.

The role involves:

1. Supporting the Buying team with negotiation and procurement across the UK, Europe, and Asia.
2. Forecasting, stock management, monitoring stock levels, and timely ordering.
3. Ensuring stock levels are optimal and pass through customs smoothly.
4. Negotiating contracts, onboarding new suppliers, and managing SLAs.
5. Quality checking and control via video link.
6. Participating in daily procurement meetings to coordinate deliveries.
7. Sourcing high-quality products and supplies.
8. Managing logistics, including bill of lading and container orders.
9. Ensuring proper loading of stock into containers.
10. Managing supplier relationships and monitoring performance.
11. Sourcing new suppliers and maintaining existing ones.
12. Monitoring invoicing procedures and resolving discrepancies with the Accounts Team.
13. Negotiating material costs, payment terms, and carriage to optimize costs and quality.
14. Maintaining accurate records and data systems.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in Buying or Supply Chain roles.
• Experience managing and negotiating with multiple suppliers.
• Language skills in Mandarin or Cantonese are advantageous.
• Fluent English is essential.
• Experience in Logistics is mandatory.
