Buyer Manufacturing (CIPS Level 4)

Monday to Friday - Full Time On-Site

Salary: Circa £32,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer (CIPS L4) to join our client's busy Supply Chain Team. Our client is a world-class manufacturer and supplier of chemicals for personal care, cosmetics, HI&I, and many industrial applications. Due to exciting growth plans, we are now looking to expand our team.

With ambitious plans to grow over the next 3 years, this role offers significant opportunities for development and internal promotion.

The Job

• Responsible for sourcing and purchasing chemicals and raw materials to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Collaborating with Production Planning to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders regarding potential risks in supply.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery.
• Ability to analyse market trends and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Understanding of environmental and safety compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience in the chemical industry is a plus.
• CIPS Level 4 or higher.

Hours of Work are Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times.
