Role Overview

1. Source and purchase chemicals and raw materials to meet business requirements
2. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts effectively
3. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials
4. Monitor market trends to make data-driven purchasing decisions
5. Ensure adherence to environmental and safety compliance standards
6. Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement with production schedules

Candidate Requirements

1. Proven experience in sourcing and purchasing chemicals or raw materials
2. Strong negotiation and contract management skills
3. Experience managing supplier relationships for timely delivery
4. Ability to analyse market trends and make informed decisions
5. Knowledge of environmental and safety compliance
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Proficiency in procurement software and tools
8. A degree in Chemistry, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
9. Experience in the chemical industry is advantageous
10. CIPS Level 4 or higher qualification
