Buyer

We are seeking a Buyer to support our Senior Buyers and procurement management team for project purchasing activities. The Procurement Assistant will report to the Section Head or equivalent and operationally to the Project Procurement Manager or equivalent.

Internally, you will work closely with Buyers, Section Head, Project Procurement Manager, Engineering, Project Manager, Legal, Finance, Expediter, Inspector, and Logistics. Externally, you will interact with Suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Fulfilling simple inquiries and purchasing activities within time and budget.
• Ensuring the availability of necessary information for issuing inquiries.
• Preparing purchase order documents in a timely manner and ensuring quality checks.
• Following up and expediting as necessary.
• Supporting negotiations with vendors within established guidelines.
• Assisting more senior colleagues as requested, while receiving support from senior buyers, PPM, and Section Heads as needed.
• Executing activities in full compliance with procurement principles and project procurement strategies.
