We are recruiting for a Technical Buyer for this client, who has a range of specialist projects, creating a unique and diverse challenge for their supply chain team to establish and maintain preferred suppliers supporting these projects.

This company is a well-respected name in the specialist vehicles market, working with leading OEMs in the automotive industry to develop their "halo" vehicle projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Purchasing specified components and materials in collaboration with engineering and quality teams.
• Raising purchase orders and prioritising important projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Liaising with engineering teams to specify and procure Bill of Materials accurately.
• Negotiating and maintaining regular contact with suppliers.
• Conducting cost-down activities and regular cost reviews with suppliers.
• Negotiating with suppliers to optimize return on investment considering cost, quality, and delivery time.
