Job summary

W Talent is partnering with a well-known UK retailer to recruit an experienced Buyer. The role focuses on owning a defined product category, driving range planning and supplier negotiations to improve margins.

You will analyse sales and market data to inform pricing decisions and collaborate across merchandising, marketing and supply chain teams to deliver category plans. A hybrid working model is offered with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Proven buying experience within retail (multi-site or online preferred).
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a track record of managing supplier relationships.
• Confident using data and insight to drive decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This is a great opportunity for a buyer with strong category management experience to join an established, high-profile retail brand with real scope to influence range and supplier strategy.

The role:

• Manage a defined product category, owning range planning, supplier negotiation and margin performance
• Build and develop strong supplier relationships, driving commercial terms and cost improvements
• Analyse sales, market and competitor data to inform range and pricing decisions
• Work closely with merchandising, marketing and supply chain teams to deliver category plans
